Muslim Community Administration

The community is administered through the following organs:

  1. The Board of Trustees

These consist of elders representing the six Sub-Muslim Communities.

  1. The Central Working Committee (CWC)

These are constituted by the 32 representatives of the six Sub Muslim Communities in AiyepeIjebu. Their representations are for a period of four years. The representations are divided into three zones among five sub–Muslim Communities in Aiyepe with the exception of Afo Muslim Community which are allocated with two representatives. The three zones are:

  1. Aba zone with 10 representatives
  2. Ilakan / Odolubisanwa Zone with 10 representatives
  3. Idobiri /Odolowu Zone with 10 representatives.
  4. Afo is represented by 2 representatives.

The statutory monthly meetings hold every second Sunday of every month. Different subcommittees are set up for the purpose of carrying out their activities as stated in their establishment.

  1. The Mission Board

These are constituted by 17 members headed by the Chief Imam of Aiyepe. Membership of the mission board include:

5.The Women COUNCIL The council’s composition includes the Iya Sunnah of Aiyepe, the six Iya Sunnah from each of the six sub-communities, and two additional women from each sub-community, except Afo, which has only one additional woman.

  1. The ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE

The administrative office is charged with the responsibilities of ensuring smooth running of worship, education, facilities, community welfare, and staff management which includes:

  1. Handling of correspondence, records, reports, meetings, finances, and communication.
  2. Ensuring mosque operations by managing jumat prayers, imams, muezzin, cleanliness, sound system, security, and donations.
  1. Monitoring and supervising the gardening and clean environment of the mosque such as care for plants, lawns, cleanliness of courtyards, and waste disposal.
  2. Ensuring proper maintenance of the facilities through inspection and repairing of facilities, electricals, plumbing, AC, ablution areas, and halls.
  3. Coordinating the school management by overseeing the welfare of staff and student and other school activities
  4. Attending to the community and social services by coordinating special prayers, charity, events, lectures, and security for gatherings.
  5. Assignnig duties, monitor attendance, manage payroll, hold briefings, and train staff.
